The RUT!

I haven't been in a blogging mood for a few days now for a couple of reasons. I am stuck at 160 and it seems like I will NEVER get past it. My health issues are not like they were when I started WW. (they are worse, not due to the weight loss)

So I am not able to cook all these yummy meals or track like a maniac like I used too. Moving around is painful and I am depressed over it too. (still trying to get my exercise in but not as much as I want) Just as I was seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, someone shuts the door. My pants are not getting any baggier either. I know as I get closer to goal it will go slower but that just doesn't sit well in my controlling lifestyle. (and I AM NOT patient!)

I gained last Thursday and I was okay with it BUT if I gain 2 weeks in a row I fear I will give up and just say the HELL with it all. I have NOT eaten one thing that is unhealthy all this time. I read about all these blogger friends who are struggling with the foods they know they shouldn't be eating. And I think WOW, I am so lucky that I am not tempted to do that but then I still am not losing. Where's the logic in that? I am not over eating and I feel I am getting enough calories in a day. Just not as active and I can not control that.

So I am stuck in a BIG RUT. On a happier note that goes sad in seconds...I love my new boobs but not feeling the love from hubby over them. BOO HOO...*sob*

Not looking forward to my weigh in tomorrow. I have a second opinion with an Orthopedic Surgern tomorrow too. Maybe I will start to understand how I can get this 15 year old foot fracture to heal. Going to Physical Therapy to stretch the archilles tendon, so it will stop pulling my bone apart, when I try to walk. I am so sick of this I could scream...I am no longer wearing the boot. They said it will NOT heal and surgery will NOT work so in a nut shell I am supposed to "JUST WOMEN UP!" and deal with the pain of walking with a fractured heel. Hence the second opinion. IDIOTS!!!!!

Just know I READ ALL your post and comment when the urge is felt to say something. You all are keeping me focused and thanks for your support. I have the BEST BLOGGER family alive.

  1. 15 years! I sooo did not realize your foot had been injured that long. I hope you get some good news from the doctor. It is so great that you are eating well and I hope you will not get discouraged. The darn scale just sometimes doesn't do what we want it to do! When I was on WW years ago someone suggested that I vary my points over the course of the week if I got stuck. If you have not tried this or heard of it, you can find stuff about it by searching "wendie plan." Might be worth a try to see if you can shake things up.

  2. I hope they figure out something for your foot. I know how miserable it can be to suffer from something for years before you get help.

  3. I'm so, so sorry you're in a rough patch right now. I have chronic foot pain that dr's keep telling me are one thing, then other thing, then another thing. So frustrating! I hope the orthopedic surgeon has some uplifting news about your foot! Let us know what he/she says!

  4. Just keep doing what you know to be right.
Maybe your body is just a little stubborn, that's all.
    Time will tell...
I had a plateau for over 8 weeks when I first started.
Combination of lack of sleep and caramel coloured diet drinks.
    Or something like that.

  6. Oh you so need a second opinion. Sounds like a doctor who doesn't want to deal with it. ug Don't give up. Even if you do have a second week of gaining, DON'T GIVE UP!!! You are worth the effort. Don't give up on yourself.

  7. I hope you get some great feedback tomorrow on the scale that will propel you and rejuvinate your dedication to this.

Way to not freak out last week - and way to do a great job this week. Even though you're not eating anything unhealthy, are you still tracking?

  10. IDIOTS!! is right!!! Let me get Grandma Hooter on this rant!

You have done so well and lost a lot of weight! Your body is just adjusting to that fact. You keep doing what you're doing, and you will see results. Not as quickly as in the beginning or as quickly as with exercise, but you will see a lesser number on the scale and looser clothes.

I sure hope you get some good answers/solutions about your foot!! Blog about it. Call it "The FOOT!"

    Hugs!

  13. I suggest going back and doing the first week of weight watchers (in Australia the book is called fast start with a planned menu and everything at lower points) this will shock your system out of the plateau. I would try and do some different exercise, mix it up, I know you find exercise a struggle but maybe you haven't found what's right for you. That's what my leader suggested after I plateau'ed for 5 weeks. Perhaps start measuring your portions too. Good luck and hugs! You can do it you just need to be in the right mind set!
