It hasn't been nice enough weather to wear a lot of the items I bought. So they have been sitting in my closet with the tags still on them, just waiting to be worn.
Even though the weather today here in Utah is wet and rainy, I wanted to wear one of my new (well new for me) capri pants. With this cast on my leg it makes it hard to be comfortable with long pants. So I tore off the tag. Now mind you I bought these pants a little snug cause it wasn't warm enough to wear them back in April. And I was taking in the fact that I was still losing.
OMG~are you kidding me? They are too big now. You would think I should be so excited and want to jump up and down. But NO, I was a little bit disappointed. I really liked the clothes that I spent hours going through at the thrift store. I am glad I didn't pay a lot for them since I will not be wearing them. But now I don't have any clothes that fit again. UGH....Have you tried trying on clothes, especially pants, with a BIG ole cast/boot on? Not fun! So until I get this off or until it doesn't hurt to remove the boot, I guess I will be wearing saggy britches...
I thought I was doing a good thing by shopping early and having them fit tight at the time. Hence the title "Can't win for losing". Time to shop again ...UGH!
PS. Just goes to show you...
IT IS NOT JUST ABOUT THE NUMBER ON THE SCALES!
LOL! It's nice to be ticked off because the clothes are too big and not too tight. That is soo cool Lesia. Sorry you spent the money and time, but it's exciting that you have lost and can't wear them.
ReplyDeleteI can so relate, I used to stress out because all my clothes were too tight "boo hoo nothing to wear" now I am losing weight and I am still the same "boo hoo nothing to wear" but I would rather be boo hoo..ing over clothes too big than clothes too small. Kind of a nice problem to have
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome boo hoo story! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteOh no! But, oh good too right? I guess you can give them away and someone else can be blessed with them. I am only buying a few things right now for that same reason!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl.. I can't wait to get that point...
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome thing! Time to go shopping again!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you got them at the Thrift store. Better to spend a couple bucks on one pair than spending $20 and over per pair. I difficult when it comes to finding jeans/slacks that fit right. It's called the long leg syndrome and even at Wal-Mart you hunt & hunt to find one pair that is labeled Tall or Long. Could go someplace that specializes in that area, but why spend $100 on a pair that lasts as long (sometimes less) as a $20 pair of good ol' Levi's.
ReplyDeleteHaving in possession different sizes (for me anyway), isn't such a bad thing. I tend to re-gain some weight (okay, a little more than some) after 4 or 5 years. Don't know why, maybe it's my genetic make-up. In either case, I'm never at a loss for jeans until the day they're totally worn out or I catch them on something (been known to happen), and it's never holes in the knee section. LOL!
Aw that stinks. I have done that too. Can you take them back since you haven't worn them yet?
ReplyDeleteTraci~I have had them past the return time so no. But its all good I didn't pay that much for them.
ReplyDeleteWell good for you!
ReplyDeleteI bought some clothes and took them back for a smaller size before I could even wear them!
